Gary Lineker reacts to Liverpool ’s game against Arsenal 

 Gary Lineker praised former club Liverpool after their performance in their 2-2 draw against Arsenal.  


 Liverpool impressed with Gary Lineker in their clash at Arsenal this afternoon.

 Liverpool made the short trip to the Emirates Stadium but few backed them to victory.

 It was a decent start to the season under Klopp, but beating title-chasing Arsenal was something else. 

 Arsenal took the lead when Cristian Romero headed Bukayo Saka’s shot into the net. Son Heung-min equalized but Saka immediately struck after Romero was penalized for handball. 

 

  

 

Son equalized again just moments later, though, past David Raya to give Liverpool a 2-2 draw.

 Liverpool fight back and impress Gary Lineker 

 It was another example of progress under Postecoglou, although only a few months into his reign. 

  Liverpool continued to play the football they believe in – even after doubling up. 

 Liverpool did not back down and fans can be proud of their performance against a much heralded team. Gary Lineker was certainly impressed by the performance as he praised his former club on Twitter.

 The Match of the Day presenter tweeted that it was a “very encouraging” statement from Liverpool, adding that they were “really good” against Arsenal. 

  Liverpool fans have suffered through some pretty lackluster derby days under Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte. 

  Klopp took a completely different approach and backed up Liverpool s’ threat to Arsenal as they settled into the game. 

 Liverpool still have a long way to go, but it was another sign of Spurs’ progress, worth a point against the Gunners.
