The Los Angeles Chargers signed Zack Bailey to the active roster today. In a similar move, the team waived safety AJ Finley. The Bolts also activated safety Dean Marlowe from the practice squad for Sunday’s game.


 


 


Since entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2019, Bailey has spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Minnesota Vikings, Indianapolis Colts, Washington Commanders and Los Angeles Chargers. He played in 46 games over four years (2015-18) at South Carolina, starting 27 games at left tackle, eight at right tackle and three starts. He was named second-team All-Southeastern Conference as a senior. Marlowe, a 2015 undrafted free agent out of James Madison, started 18 of 60 regular-season games with the Carolina Panthers, Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Chargers. He made his practice squad debut with the Bolts in Week 2 and was on 21 special teams. Marlowe recorded 104 tackles (70 solo), 1.5 sacks, two interceptions and seven passes defended in his career, along with 15 tackles on special teams. Marlowe won an NFC championship with the Panthers and appeared in six postseason games, including last year with the Bills. In four seasons (2011-2014) at James Madison, Marlowe started 48 of 49 career games and was a four-time All-Colonial Athletic Association selection (first team in 2012 and and #039;14). He served as captain as a senior and helped lead the Dukes to their first NCAA playoff berth since 2011. Marlowe finished his career with 326 tackles (182 solo), 13.5 tackles for loss, a sack, 12 interceptions, 30 passes defended, a fumble forced. fumble and two fumble recoveries
