What the TV cameras caught between Luis Suarez and Darwin Nunez after Uruguay’s win Darwin Nunez has
struggled with Uruguay in recent weeks
and Luis Suarez now seems to love what the Liverpool striker has become. Nunez,
hailed as “excellent” by Lionel Messi this week, took his growing legend in
Uruguay even further last night in Marcelo Bielsa’s side’s 3-0 win over
Bolivia. And Suarez appears to be loving
life together with Nunez, with TV cameras seeing the pair laughing and
hugging together at full-time as the pair were swapped for each other. FBL-WC-

Although the torch has completely passed to Nunez as Uruguay’s main
striker, it is still incredible to see how strong a friendship Suarez now has with
his successor, both on and off the pitch. Suarez, who has publicly praised the
Liverpool forward on social media, is clearly a big fan of Nunez and what the
striker is doing for club and country. And this latest display from Uruguay is just
the beginning for Nunez, who now returns to Liverpool in top form ahead of
the biggest game of the season so far at Manchester City. Darwin Nunez could

STORY Improving Suarez’s effectiveness as a striker is a bold challenge for any
player, but Nunez could do it for Liverpool and Uruguay for years to
come. The 24-year-old is getting into places Suarez could only dream of on the
pitch, and if Nunez can nail down his results to an exact science, the forward
could become a modern-day legend. Although Nuenz still has some time to
catch up to Suarez’s outstanding goalscoring numbers, it is clear that the
striker will eventually find his footing in Liverpool and Uruguay. And it won’t be
long before Nunez sneaks up on his
predecessor and time is firmly in the striker’s hands heading into the future.
