“🚨 Breaking News: Juventus Sets Sights on Tottenham’s Star Player – January Transfer Rumors Heating Up! 🔥”

Tottenham’s Hojbjerg becomes Juventus’ January target

Tottenham’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is a January target for Juventus.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has emerged as a target for Juventus as Juventus look to land him in the January transfer window, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The 28-year-old has been on the fringes of Spurs since Ange Postecoglou arrived at the north London club and the Serie A giants could offer the Dane an escape route in January.

Hojbjerg has played five matches in the Premier League this season, but in 2023/24. In 2016, he made his only start in Tottenham’s Carabao Cup second round loss against Fulham.

Postecoglou has favored a midfield duo of Pape Matar Sarri and Yves Bissouma since his arrival at the club, while Oliver Skipp has occasionally given the nod over Hojbjerg.

In a recent interview, the Denmark international refused to give up on his Tottenham career and insisted he will remain at the club and fight for his place in the starting line-up. However, if his situation does not improve before the winter transfer window arrives, he could look for an exit as Juventus bid for promotion.

Hojbjerg was a target for Juventus in the summer and the Italians tried to make a move that could have seen former Liverpool flop Arthur Melo go the other way, but the move fell through.

The Bianconeri are looking for a potential replacement for Paul Pogba, who has caused controversy at the Allianz Stadium since his arrival last year.

Pogba has been plagued by injury

problems, while reports recently emerged

that the France international allegedly used

substances containing testosterone to

enhance his performance.

The player’s camp has strongly denied

wrongdoing, but the investigation is ongoing

and the club could be forced to terminate

his contract if he tests positive for doping

after a counter analysis. Hojbjerg is one

name on Juventus’ extensive list. The

Bianconeri are also considering a move for

Arsenal star Thomas Partey, who is

currently being dealt.

Along with injury problems, the summer

arrival of Declan Rice has pushed the

Ghanaian midfielder down the pecking

order, and Juventus could use that to their

advantage in January.
