I Ain’t Heard Nothingand#039; Updated December 2, 2023 at 3:42 p.m Jalen Carter Getty Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Jalen Carter has words for the San Francisco 49ers offensive line The San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles are gearing up for an NFC showdown, and shots have already been fired on both sides.

After 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel’s comments from last summer were highlighted and reframed, Eagles defensive end Jalen Carter is giving his two cents.

While the Eagles and 49ers are not direct rivals, they share a lot of history. Most recently, it was the Eagles’ turn to celebrate after a 31-7 win over the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game. As the tension grew,

Carter was asked about San Francisco’s offense and did not hesitate to take aim. “They’ve got a lot of weapons out there, but I’m in, I’m in the trenches, I haven’t heard from the o-line,” Carter said on Dec. 1.

However, last year’s NFC title game doesn’t seem like a sign of things to come. 49ers QB Brock Purdy was injured early in that game and San Francisco never came back.

But Philadelphia continues to rise through 2023, now 10-1 on the season. The 49ers are doing well themselves at 8-3, but Sunday will be their hardest test yet.

What Deebo Samuel Said About Eagles, James Bradberry It’s not a great look to trash talk a team after being eliminated by them. But Deebo has always been outspoken, and that’s not going to change.

But his words from this past offseason, notably calling Eagles CB James Bradberry “trash,” have now been a key talking point this week. However, Samuel isn’t backing down. When asked for comment, the former South Carolina Gamecock stuck to his guns: “I don’t regret anything I said.”

It’s classic Deebo, but it’s sure to motivate an already successful and tough Eagles team. San Francisco may have a chip on its shoulder, but so does this Philadelphia team, it seems.

However, Bradberry did not return any shots. “Obviously, I don’t like what he said,” Bradberry told NBC Sports. – I wish he had used a better word to describe my game.

But it is what it is. At the end of the day, all I can control is my work ethic and what I do every day. 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan vs. Philly All time, the 49ers have outscored the Eagles 20-15-1. However, in the Kyle Shanahan era, things turned in Philadelphia’s favor.

The head coach of the 49ers did not have much success against the NFC East powerhouse, going 1-3 in four games. However, each game has its own context.

Purdy’s injury contributed to the 49ers’ NFC championship loss. The 2017 matchup, a 33-10 Eagles victory, came in a year when San Francisco was undergoing a rebuild and Philadelphia was on its way to a Super Bowl run.

Shanahan’s only win over the Eagles in

San Francisco came in 2021. The 49ers

won an ugly game, 17-11. It was similar to

2017 but in reverse as Philadelphia HC

Nick Sirianni rebuilt his first year with

the Eagles.

On Sunday, Shanahan and the 49ers will

have a chance to make their Super Bowl

hopes known this year, as well as get

revenge against the Eagles.
