andquot;Excited to join the @NFLonCBS family! I’m looking forward to tearing up the game this season, Ryan posted an important warning on his Twitter account Monday morning.
P.S. – that is not a retired position, Ryan wrote in his Twitter post. Although Ryan did not close the door on his 15-season playing career, he agreed to work as a studio and game analyst for CBS.
Ryan appears in NFL games on CBS and provides analysis for shows such as The NFL Today, That Other Pregame Show, NFL Monday QB and CBS Sports HQ. It is truly an honor to join this extraordinary team at CBS Sports, Ryan said in a statement.
I have been blessed with incredible teammates throughout my career, and I am fortunate to continue to be here working and learning from the best in the business.
Ryan, who played 14 of his 15 NFL seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, was named the 2016 NFL MVP, was selected to four Pro Bowls and led the Falcons to six playoff appearances, including the NFC Championship and a Super Bowl appearance 51.
Ryan was the No. 3 pick by the Falcons in
the 2008 NFL Draft and holds franchise
records for passing yards, touchdowns,
completions, attempts and passer rating.
Ryan, who spent last season with the
Indianapolis Colts, ranks in the top 10 in
NFL history with 62,792 passing yards, 381

outstanding players over the past 15
