Afro-Beat Super-Star Wizkid Makes History @ Tottenham Stadium
On Saturday, July 29, a historic Wizkid concert commemorated Africa at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
With his “More Love, Less Ego” Tour, the Afrobeats pioneer—one of Nigeria’s most popular exports—became the
first African performer to take the stage at our world-class venue.
Wizkid energized the crowd right away with his hit Reckless and wowed tens of thousands of fans with an amazing
set design and a playlist that was influenced by the continent’s traditional sounds and brilliant colors. Wizkid
emerged from the stage mist wearing a bright red outfit.
With five studio albums under his belt, the 33-year-old blazed through older songs like Ojeulegba, Don’t Dull, and
That’s My Baby as well as more current huge successes like Ginger, Mood, and Essence, blending English and Yaruba
vocals while the crowd danced and drank together in an upbeat dancehall environment.
His upbeat party song Joro put an explosive cap on another great music event staged at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
as flames and rockets lit up the night sky.
