Coby White is starting at PG today
The Bulls will finally proclaim a winner in the starting point guard battle.
Last season, the Chicago Bulls struggled to balance an overloaded backcourt. With Coby White, Ayo Dosunmu and Patrick Beverley all hitting free agency, that issue was expected to be resolved over the summer as Chicago faced some tough financial decisions.
It didn’t turn out that way, though, as both White and Dosunmu were brought back on three-year deals, and the loss of Beverley was quickly forgotten when the Bulls acquired Jevon Carter in free agency. Throw in those three capable guards along with Alex Caruso and it looks like it will be difficult to decide who deserves to be the starting guard next season. A decision that is anything but decided whether the comments of the media from the office are to be believed. Arturas Karnisovas told reporters that the job will be decided at the training ground when things are resolved behind closed doors.
After months of indecision, the Chicago Bulls finally appear to have announced their starting point for the 2023-24 season. Luckily, we were able to follow the action as the Bulls beat reporters in Tennessee to see how the action unfolded in training camp. It’s hard to tell if Chicago still has a favor in mind, but we know someone has the job. What I find particularly interesting is that the Bulls have split the guards into groups so they can showcase their overall floor skills. Thanks to NBCSC K.C. To Johnson’s hard work, we know that Coby put the ball on the floor with the first team instead of playing the ball, while other candidates for the role played with other units. With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that Coby White was the “Prob-A-Bull” starter in tonight’s first preseason game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
If White can continue to develop the
improved court vision and defensive
prowess we saw last season, he could
finally break into the role the Bulls
designed for him when he was drafted 7th
overall in 2019. His shots should provide
valuable space for Zach. . LaVine and
DeMar DeRozan are working. However, if
he fails to impress, you can guarantee
that Carter, Caruso and Dosunmu will be
breathing down his neck for you to prove
yourself.
Who is Coby White?
Talented young player who currently
plays for the Chicago Bulls. He was
selected by the Bulls in the 2019 NBA
Draft and has shown a lot of promise as a
point guard. Coby is known for his
scoring ability and quickness on the
court. He’s definitely an exciting player to
watch! 🏀🔥
