Queens Park Rangers boss Gareth Ainsworth warned that pressure and fear could build andquot; as his team prepares to host Leicester City.

League leaders City travel to west London to face the strugglers, who are 23rd in the Championship table with just eight points from 13 games. The QPR boss admitted that negative emotions can creep in ahead of the match.

He admitted that his players “feel the pressure andquot; because of the league position, but insists on taking it on his shoulders. He wants his players to put in a performance against Leicester that nobody expects. “I just want the players to enjoy their football and be able to make clear, rational decisions,” Ainsworth said. “The pressure and the fear can come in many ways. I have to get them to play at Loftus Road without that fear and just play to their abilities, which I don’t think we’ve seen at home.

“It would be like QPR putting on a performance against Leicester that nobody expects. I hope that’s the case on Saturday. – Both moments that led to the goal on Tuesday were probably due to stress and that is understandable. The boys feel the pressure because of where we are, but as I always do, I tell them to let me handle it.”
