According to reports. Everton beats Tottenham to the middle defensive position.

According to Football Insider, Everton has already surpassed Tottenham Hotspur

and grabbed the lead in the competition to sign Harry Maguire.

According to the source, Maguire, who was relieved of his club captaincy by Erik Ten Hag earlier

this summer, is a player that Manchester United is eager to sell.

The Red Devils allegedly would take £35 million for the center back, but the player demands that

his entire £10 million per year contract be paid before consenting to leave.

According to the source, Maguire had interest from Tottenham, Chelsea, and West Ham United.

After their initial proposal of £20 million was rejected, the Hammers even considered making a

second offer.

Everton is in the lead in the battle for Maguire.

It is clarified, though, that the Toffees have now moved ahead of the aforementioned London trio in

line for the England international’s signature.

Following the exits of Yerry Mina and Conor Coady, Sean Dyche is rumored to be eager to expand

his options in central defense and has reportedly found Maguire to be a good match.

Tottenham Web Opinion

Due to the fact that Maguire does not particularly suit Postecoglou’s ideal player profile, I do not

believe Tottenham ever gave the possibility of signing him substantial consideration.

The England international is strong in duals and outstanding on the ball, but he lacks the recovery

speed to play in a high line, and because of his age, he may not be as coachable as more young,

promising center backs.

Roy Keane lists his four predictions for Spurs’ “brilliant season”

Roy Keane acknowledged that he was impressed by Tottenham’s performance in their season-

opening match on Saturday and predicted that the Lilywhites will have a “brilliant” season.

No new signings were included in Antonio Conte’s starting lineup for Tottenham’s season-opening

match against Southampton, which may have shocked some fans. Instead, the Italian coach stuck

with the lineup that had such a strong finish to the previous campaign.

The host team did not have the best of starts to the game as Ralph Hasenhuttl’s team took the lead

after only 12 minutes thanks to James Ward-Prowse.

Spurs scored twice quickly to come back and take a 2-1 lead into halftime. A second quick-fire

double in the second half sealed the victory just beyond the hour mark.

Given the energy and confidence now present at the North London club, Keane said he had no

worries Tottenham would overcome going down a goal on Saturday.

Speaking on Sky Sports Premier League at 7:11 p.m. on August 7, 2022, the former Manchester

United player discussed Spurs’ 4-1 victory: Because of the club’s strength in depth, superb manager,

and apparent high levels of momentum and confidence, it was obvious yesterday that they would

return. I believe Spurs are poised for a successful season.

Tottenham Web Opinion

Roy Keane hasn’t always been very appreciative of Tottenham. Even he is offering Spurs such high

praise, which suggests that under Conte, they could be on the verge of something remarkable.

However, you shouldn’t draw too many conclusions from a single game, especially considering

Southampton’s dismal record. When they visit Stamford Bridge the next week, we will discover a lot

more about the team.
