with the Chicago Bulls last week.Taylor, 23, spent the first two seasons of his career with the Pacers.

He came up from the G-League and first signed a two-way contract before signing a two-year deal with the franchise. In 59 games, he averaged 6.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game for the blue-gold team.

His offensive shooting skills have always stood out and that is what led him to the NBA. Taylor is a force on the glass for his size. The Pacers waived the young forward in February to facilitate a trade with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Indiana needed to create roster spots to get Jordan Nwora and George Hill, so they let Taylor go (as well as Goga Bitadze). I was a bit shocked. At the end of the day, I understand that this is a business. Just take it on the chin and carry on,  Taylor said he quit.

The Chicago Bulls signed him to a two-way contract shortly after he allowed another player to do so. They clearly wanted Taylor. He played in five games for Chicago last season, averaging 4.0 points and 1.6 rebounds per game.

A man who may be small but is a truly elite jumper for his size, Bulls head coach Billy Donovan said of the forward.Taylor became a free agent this summer but agreed to return to Chicago last week.

It is a multi-year contract.Spotrac’s Keith Smith reported that the deal is not guaranteed, but Taylor is guaranteed $350,000 if he is on the roster on opening night. He finished 15th and last on the Bulls’ list..
