WR Bo Melton, RB James Robinson The Green Bay Packers signed WR Bo Melton and RB James Robinson to the active practice squad roster,
placed TE Luke Musgrave and RB Emanuel Wilson on injured reserve and promoted FB Henry Pearson and S Benny Sapp III to the game-day active roster. CEO Brian Gutekunst announced the deals on Wednesday.
Melton has been with the Packers since being acquired by the Seattle Seahawks December 27, 2022 in the practice squad and was in the practice squad of the Green Bay this season.
He was originally selected by the Seahawks in the seventh round (229th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Rutgers University.
Melton spent the entire 2022 regular season on Seattle’s practice squad before joining Green Bay.
He finished his college career tied for third in program history with 56 games, 6th with 164 receptions, 8th with five 100-yard receiving games and 10th with 2,011 receptions.
Last season, Melton made the All-Big Ten
list by Pro Football Focus (third team)
and Phil Steele and College Football
(fourth team). Robinson, who played on
the Green Bay practice squad twice this
season,
is a fourth-year player who was
originally signed by the Jacksonville
Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of
Illinois State in 2020.
He has played for 39 Jaguars. (2020-22)
and New York Started 32 games with the
Jets (2022) and also spent time with the
New England Patriots and New York
Giants this offseason.
Robinson has 514 career carries for 2,262
yards (4.4 avg.) and 18 touchdowns, 91
receptions for 617 yards (6.8 avg.) and
five TDs.
His six 100-yard rushing games from
2020-22 tied for 10th in the NFL during
that span. Robinson had 1,414 scrimmage
yards in 2020, the most by an undrafted
rookie in the joint draft era.
