Jürgen Klopp announced a new era. His Liverpool 2.0 is poised to surpass the
achievements of its first generation and the signs are positive early on. The Reds have started the season well, and
Kloppand’s new signings have already endeared themselves to both the club
and the supporters. But the Liverpool boss does not stop there. His 2.0 board
still needs updates and new additions. It is far from a finished product. Liverpool
will refine and fine-tune this new version over the coming years to create the
perfect final product. As the January transfer window approaches, rumors
and speculation are already rife about which area could be strengthened next.
But Liverpool aren’t just thinking about January, they’re also thinking about next
summer, when Klopp could once again do serious business in a number of key
positions. One area where you might not expect big deals from Liverpool is
obviously in attack. The Reds are well equipped in that department and Klopp
is happy with his current options. But, of course, that can change if offers come in
that are too tempting to refuse. Therefore, Liverpool are likely to keep an
eye on some options to add to Kloppand’s squad, should anything happen next
summer. Last summer, with the rise of Saudi Arabia, proved that nothing is off
the table and backup plans should always be in place. According to Football
Transfers, one of the attacking players on Liverpool’s transfer radar is Brighton
winger Ansu Fati. The Spanish international, who is on loan from
Barcelona, has made a positive start to life in England, with five goal
contributions in five starts in the Europa League and the Premier League so far.
Fati was once touted as one of the most promising wonderkids from La Masia
after Lionel Messi. In fact, the eight-time Ballon dand#039;Or winner tipped a
then-16-year-old Fati for greatness back in andquot; He’s an amazing player and
he’s got what it takes to succeed, andquot; Messi told FIFA.com (via the Standard).

have a negative impact on him because he has the quality to become one of the

thereafter. However, the youngster is still only 21 and certainly showed
encouraging signs at Brighton to suggest he is on the right track. Brighton is a club
Liverpool are clearly looking at. Not only did the Reds sign Alexis MacAllister last summer, they also tried Moisés Caicedo.
Perhaps Fati could be next, although this time the Reds are pursuing his parent
club to lure him to Anfield. On paper though, Fati is someone who makes
sense to be a typical Klopp player. He presses well, has a lot of energy and most importantly is very versatile. He has
played on the left and right wing throughout his career and is very
comfortable playing centrally. Looking at Liverpool’s profile and the strikers they
currently use, Fati shares many characteristics with the club and current
options, meaning he ticks many boxes for the club. Time will tell if Liverpool’s
aspirations go further, but he is certainly one to watch for now.
