Tottenham Hotspur sanctioned the departure of Harry Kane earlier this summer.

The 30-year-old England international has

joined Bayern Munich and Spurs will need

to replace him adequately.

Kane was undoubtedly one of the best goal-

scorers in Premier League history and his

departure will certainly be a blow for the London club.

They will need to replace his goal-scoring output and Tottenham have been linked with a number of players recently.

Journalist Alasdair Gold has now revealed

during a Q & A session with Football London

that he would be stunned if Tottenham do

not bring in someone who can lead the line for them.

“I’d be stunned if they don’t bring in

someone new who can play through the

centre though, like a Gift Orban or Brennan

Johnson-type, or simply Gift Orban or

Brennan Johnson,” Gold said (h/t TBR).

Players like Gift Orban and Brennan

Johnson have been linked with a move to

Tottenham in recent weeks.

Orban has been a quality striker for the

Belgian club Gent and he scored 20 goals

across all competitions last season. The 21-

year-old Nigerian is highly rated around

Europe and he has the potential to develop into a top-class striker.

On the other hand, Johnson is a winger for

Nottingham Forest and he scored 10 goals

across all competitions last season.

Both players will add creativity and goals to

the side and it remains to be seen whether

Tottenham can pull off the signings before

the summer window closes.

Finances should not be an issue for them

given the fact that they have received a

substantial amount of money for Kane.

The opportunity to play for Tottenham will

be an attractive option for both players and

regular football at a high level would help

them develop and fulfil their potential.
