But Klopp finished by saying he would do
it again, even if some of his squad were to
be rested. The Liverpool boss said in his
pre-match press conference: “We want to
win football games and this is the next
chance. It would have put us nine points
up and kept Toulouse four, that’s for
sure. But knowing that didn’t change
anything. . We have to do our best.
“We’re going to make some changes,
maybe not too many, we’ll see. But we
have to make sure we’re really ready to
compete and the guys have shown so far
that we’re ready to compete. That’s what I
want to see.
“Obviously we hope for a long, long, long
time in this race and for that we have to
take all the decisive steps and tomorrow
night is very big.”
One player who seems almost certain to
start is Curtis Jones. The midfielder was
on media duty ahead of the clash,
meaning he will be in attendance.
Jones is currently serving a three-match
Premier League ban after he was sent off
in the 2-1 defeat to Tottenham. With the
international break also this month, the
academy product is gearing up for his
first outing in three weeks.
