MVS was wildly roasted by Green Bay Packers fans after he hit the game-winning field goal against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night.

Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (MVS) has never been a popular player with fans.
The fifth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft spent four seasons in Green Bay with one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time in Aaron Rodgers.
Packers news When he hit free agency after the 2021 NFL season, MVS signed another all-time great quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, with the Kansas City Chiefs.
At the time, Packers fans questioned the contract he signed, a three-year, $30 million contract. Ezoic The reason, of course, is that MVS is an inconsistent pitcher.
While his speed respects defenses, his tendency to drop passes makes him relatively ineffective. Granted, he was a big part of the Chiefs’ march to the Super Bowl last season,
and he was the Packers’ best wide receiver in the 2020 NFC Championship loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Despite this, MVS caught less than 50% of the passes thrown his way during his career.
On Monday night, with Kansas City trailing the Philadelphia Eagles 21-17 with 1:47 to play, Mahomes threw a perfect pass into an open MVS field. He had to dive to catch Mahomo’s pass, but the ball landed perfectly in his hands.
And he dropped it. While that drop isn’t the only (or even the biggest) reason Kansas City lost, it certainly didn’t help their cause, and Packers fans were quick to roast MVS after the drop.

During MVS’ time in Green Bay, Packers beat reporter Mark Daniels asked Matt LaFleur how he could live with MVS.
At the time, many were upset that he dared to ask such a question. Now it seems many are ready to ask Andy Reid the same question.
