Pundit Gives thoughts on Coach Who Missed Out on Tottenham Job and Might Get a Big Opportunity

Earlier today, Perry Groves mentioned that he is not very sure about the former Tottenham Hotspur manager aiming at Julian Nagelsmann becoming the next manager of Germany.

It was reported that the one-time Arsenal player said a few things about how the thirty-six-year-old talked himself out of becoming the manager of Tottenham Hotspur before someone like Ange Postecoglou came on board and how he is ‘very forthright’ in his thoughts, as he mentioned to talkSPORT.

Groves believes that could work against Julian Nagelsmann, as Germany is looking for a new manager after sacking Hansi Flick following a 4-1 home defeat to Japan.

Bayern Munich fired Nagelsmann in March, and the club replaced him with former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel after he nearly ruined the club’s chances of winning an 11th Bundesliga title in a row.

Some thought Bayern’s decision to release Nagelsmann was harsh, with many top clubs in Europe interested, including Tottenham Hotspur after they sacked Antonio Conte.

But nothing came of it, with Groves now discussing how the highly regarded coach could now possibly land his country’s most important role.

Nagelsmann as the Next Manager of Germany?

“Do you think Nagelsmann’s character might work against him?” Groves asked.

“He is very, very forthright in his opinions,” he said about his previous Tottenham connections. He is certain of what he desires. There have been a few jobs where everyone expected him to be the favorite, and he seems to have talked himself out of them all. Or his demands, which he desired.

“You just said that this is not an elite group of German players. Would he want to be in that situation? “I’m not certain.”

Nagelsmann to Return to the Premier League?

Still in his 30s, the attack-minded coach has plenty of energy to manage in the English Premier League one day.

It is where the money is right now, and it would not surprise me if he is in the dugout of an English team sooner rather than later.

Of course, becoming Germany’s next

manager would put that off, and you’d think

that if it was not Jurgen Klopp, then

Nagelsmann would be next on the list.

In another development, Perry Groves

strongly believes that James Maddison was

‘quite pleased’ Harry Kane took a leave from

Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich this

summer.
