Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph went down after a hit on Sunday.


Rudolph lay motionless on the field for several moments in the horrific scene, but was later able to walk off the field.

Early in the third quarter, Rudolph left the pocket and made a running throw to the left. He was caught between two Ravens players and was tackled by Ravens safety Earl Thomas.

Rudolph seemed to fall through the air and landed awkwardly. The performance can be seen below (Warning: Some may find the video disturbing): AD Rudolph remained on the ground for several minutes as Steelers players gathered around him.

Wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster became emotional during the scene. Eventually, however, Rudolph was helped to his feet and appeared responsive.

He got off the field with some help. Rudolph was ejected from the game. Rudolph was replaced by quarterback Devlin Hodges in the third game.
