The former Sixth Man of the Year will miss his 10th straight game with an ankle injury. However, the Heat gave an upbeat update on the status of their star point guard ahead of their highly anticipated showdown against Milwaukee. Will Tyler Herro be back soon? The good news, though, is that Herro is now back in action, according to Miami Herald team insider Anthony Chiang: Ezoic “After reevaluating his ankle over the weekend, Herro is expected to return to the sidelines for at least another week,” Chiang wrote. A week is still a week, but the fact that Herro now has a pretty solid schedule is a crucial development step for the team. Downing-USA TODAY Sports Head coach Erik Spoelstra spoke to the media after Monday’s practice, and while he declined to set a date for Herro’s return, the NBA champion hinted to the shooting guard that the 23-year-old is close: “It’s a trend in the right direction,” Spoelstra said. He will be joined by Jimmy Butler, who is also out with an ankle problem. Bam Adebayo, himself dealing with a hip injury, has been cleared to play, so he will likely have to do much of the heavy lifting for Miami on Tuesday night.
