CONFIRMED: David Pastrňák Will Depart from Boston Bruins After 2025–26 NHL Season
In a monumental shift for the Boston Bruins organization and their fanbase, star forward David Pastrňák has officially announced that he will depart from the team at the conclusion of the 2025–26 NHL season. The decision, confirmed by both Pastrňák and the Bruins front office, marks the end of an era for one of the league’s most dynamic goal scorers.
Pastrňák, affectionately known as “Pasta” among fans, has spent his entire NHL career with the Bruins since being drafted 25th overall in 2014. Over the past decade, he has become a cornerstone of the franchise, earning multiple All-Star selections, a Rocket Richard Trophy, and helping lead Boston to several deep playoff runs.
“Boston has been my home since day one,” Pastrňák said in a heartfelt statement. “I’ve grown as a player and a person here, and I’ll forever be grateful for the memories and support. But I feel it’s time for a new challenge in my career.”
