Jimbo Fisher left a lasting mark on Florida State football, helping guide the Seminoles through one of the most successful stretches in program history. During his time in Tallahassee, Fisher coached numerous elite players who went on to become NFL stars, award winners and major contributors for the Seminoles.

Ramsey’s physical gifts eventually translated to the NFL, where he became one of the league’s premier cornerbacks.
Defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan was another key piece of Fisher’s early Florida State teams. Jernigan possessed the size, strength and explosiveness needed to disrupt opposing offenses from the interior. His ability to create pressure helped make Florida State’s defense one of the most feared units in college football.
Running back Dalvin Cook also deserves a prominent place in any discussion of Fisher’s most talented players. Cook became one of the most explosive offensive weapons in college football, combining speed, vision and big-play ability. He consistently gave Florida State the ability to change a game with one carry and developed into a major NFL talent.
Then there was defensive end DeMarcus Walker, who became one of the Seminoles’ most productive pass rushers. Walker’s combination of power, technique and relentless effort made him a nightmare for opposing offensive linemen.
What makes Fisher’s list so impressive is the sheer number of future NFL players he coached at Florida State. From Winston and Ramsey to Cook, Jernigan and Walker, the Seminoles had elite talent across the roster.
