**Netflix Releases Trailer for the Highly Anticipated Linda Ronstadt Documentary**
Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for its much-anticipated documentary chronicling the legendary career of Linda Ronstadt, one of music’s most iconic and versatile voices. Titled *”Blue Bayou: The Linda Ronstadt Story”*, the documentary promises an intimate look at the life, music, and enduring legacy of the 11-time Grammy Award winner.
Set for a global release next month, the film is directed by award-winning filmmaker Liz Garbus and features never-before-seen archival footage, personal interviews, and rare live performances that span Ronstadt’s eclectic career — from her early folk-rock beginnings to her genre-defying explorations in mariachi, opera, and American standards.
The trailer teases deeply emotional reflections from Ronstadt herself, as well as heartfelt commentary from friends and collaborators including Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, Jackson Browne, and Aaron Neville. “She was the voice of a generation — and many generations after,” says one voiceover, as clips roll of Ronstadt commanding the stage with her powerful, crystalline vocals.
Netflix’s official synopsis reads: “In a world where musical boundaries were rigidly drawn, Linda Ronstadt painted outside the lines. *Blue Bayou* is a celebration of artistry, resilience, and the kind of bravery that reshapes an industry.”
The film also explores Ronstadt’s personal challenges, including her battle with Parkinson’s disease and her outspoken activism on social and political issues. It paints a portrait not only of a groundbreaking artist, but of a woman who used her platform to make a difference.
Fans of all generations are already marking their calendars, with early reactions to the trailer calling the documentary “goosebump-inducing,” “poignant,” and “long overdue.”
*”Blue Bayou: The Linda Ronstadt Story”* debuts exclusively on Netflix this July.
