
Kylie Minogue has unveiled her 17th studio album, Tension II, a high-energy, high-octane follow-up to her 2023 release Tension. Released on October 18, 2024, the album features 13 tracks that delve deeper into the electronic and dance-pop realms, continuing the sonic exploration initiated in its predecessor.
The album opens with the lead single “Lights Camera Action,” setting the tone with its upbeat tempo and vibrant energy. Collaborations abound, with artists like Bebe Rexha, Tove Lo, Sia, Orville Peck, Diplo, and The Blessed Madonna contributing to the album’s diverse soundscape. Notable tracks include “My Oh My,” “Dance Alone,” “Midnight Ride,” and “Edge of Saturday Night,” each showcasing unique blends of disco, EDM, and synth-pop influences.
Critics have lauded Tension II for its infectious hooks and innovative production, with some reviewers considering it a superior offering compared to Tension. To promote the album, Minogue embarked on the Tension Tour, her most extensive world tour in over a decade. The tour commenced in Perth, Australia, on February 15, 2025, and is set to conclude in Monterrey, Mexico, on August 26, 2025, encompassing 69 shows across Asia, Europe, North and South America, and the United Kingdom. The tour has been met with enthusiasm, with early performances in Australia grossing millions and attracting tens of thousands of fans.
